Zero Tolerance Benefit '08

I celebrated my 6th year with Sanctuary for Families's 2008 Zero Tolerance Benefit and it was one of my favorite themes and decor. We had beautiful monsterra leaves decorating the raffle and silent auction tables and also in the centerpieces.

With this photo I realize that my dress matches the pillows on the white sofas.

Warmer weather will be here...

Walking down the hill to my parents apt building with the wind blowing me back up the street tells me that summer days are not to far off. The temperature will be 30 degrees warmer, no humidity and I will not be wearing 4 layers. Jeans, flip flops and a t-shirt with a cotton sweater will be my choice of uniform soon!

happy birthday to me!

Today is my birthday and I decided that a really nice birthday present would be to organize my bedroom so that I could actually function like a normal human being and find things that want to be found! No more spending 10 minutes looking for that tear-sheet on Los Angeles stores for my bosses or the glass candlestick page for a Cursive customer. I read blogs from various sources about artists and designers whose desks and offices looks so pretty and organized and I want to be just like them. I cannot understand how I am organized at Cursive but not at home and I've come to the conclusion, after almost 3 years at Cursive, that it is because all the elements of having good storage space are at Cursive and not in my own home. UGH!

Well, no more... TODAY I am going to change all that by signing off right now and go attack my room with some TLC!

When I commented to my sister how I liked this woman's look, she said "that's how YOU always dress" BUT to me it was the back pleat on the coat that really caught my eye!
